August 26, 2021 Scott Neeson From Hollywood to Cambodian Rescuer
Listen Now

Scott Neeson had it all.

In roughly 20 years, the Australian high-school dropout had parlayed a job as an assistant projectionist at a drive-in movie theater to become President of 20th Century Fox International in Hollywood.

Scott lived the high-roller lifestyle:  a home in the Hollywood Hills, boat, fancy cars, and all the trappings. But a trip to Southeast Asia changed everything.

He happened upon a landfill in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and was shaken by what he saw: abandoned children and entire families living and scavenging in the garbage dump to survive. It shook him to his core.

Within a year, Scott sold his possessions, quit his job, moved to Phnom Penh, and in 2004 started the Cambodian Children’s Fund, which provides housing, education, and health care for the impoverished children and families of the region.

Scott shares Tales of his journey of a life transformed by a higher purpose, and the many complications and successes he’s experienced along the way. A truly inspiring man doing good in the world.

Thank you for talking to us, Scott, and a bigger thanks for all you do.
