G’day!
Fresh from my recent trip to Australia, I’m back with Tales and tips from Down Under.
Starting December 7, I did a two-week cruise standup gig that took me from Papeete, Tahiti to Sydney, Australia.
Despite some rookie travel mistakes in acquiring the proper Australian visa, the good people of Oz let me in anyway.
From there, it was two weeks exploring one of the world’s great cities and surrounding areas , highlighted by the killer New Year’s Eve celebrations featuring fireworks off the iconic Sydney Harbor Bridge.
Throw in more days exploring the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley wine region, and the Central Coast of New South Wales, and it made for a great vacation. I even managed to sneak in a standup set at a Sydney club!
And yes, I saw kangaroos and koalas.
Crack open a beer and have a Vegemite sandwich. Let’s take a trip to Australia!
