You’d think a native Chicagoan with Irish roots, who also lived in New York City, would have no problem dealing with Seattle’s cold, damp winters.
Truth be told, travel writer/photographer Kristen Gill stuck it out in the Pacific Northwest for a good 20 years before deciding to head for year-round warmth.
In 2018, Kristen packed up her entire life and moved to the seaside city of La Paz in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
There have been many adjustments for sure, from language problems, dealing with the extreme summer heat, and of course, quarantines and lockdowns during Covid.
But despite the setbacks, Kristen is thoroughly enjoying her time on what she called “the fun side of the wall!”
She also shares Tales of her many (mis)adventures around the globe, including touring as an Irish dancer, breaking bones while trying to pose for a group photo, ingesting a poisonous plant in Africa, and much more!
It was a pleasure to meet the gal her friends affectionately call, “The Giller.” You’ll enjoy meeting her as well!
