When traveling , it’s easy to get distracted by new stimuli everywhere we turn.
But for someone with attention deficit, it may be a blessing in disguise.
Jeff Johns was diagnosed with severe ADHD from an early age, and soon realized that new environments were something that put his busy mind at ease.
Boldly leaving college on a whim to volunteer in Thailand after the 2004 tsunami, Jeff’s solo journey led him to a life wanting to chase as many experiences as possible.
For the next two decades, Jeff traveled the world as a videographer and photographer, living in Thailand and Dubai along the way.
Eventually, Jeff found love and settled down in Amsterdam with his French wife and two kids. The couple started a website and YouTube Channel, where they post positive travel videos of their exploits around the world, aptly titled “What Doesn’t Suck.”
As you can imagine, Jeff has plenty of Travel Tales to tell – so many that they led him to pen a new memoir, aptly titled “Jet Lag Junkie.”
He’s been held at gunpoint in Malaysia, detained by police in Tajikistan, gotten hopelessly lost in Bangladesh, and much more.
Before reading all about Jeff’s exploits on the road, listen to him here recall his journey of turning a handicap into his life’s calling!
Thanks. Jeff!
