Chip Chinery and I go way back. And I know because I have the photos to prove it.
Of all the comedians I’ve known over the last 30 years, none of them have archived their travels and accomplishments more than Chip.
By keeping a detailed journal for decades and taking a photo with everyone he ever performed with, Chip realized he had the makings of a book.
And now that book is a reality: “Charging Mount Stand-Up, My first Year On the Road.”
Chip’s memoir chronicles his first year of touring America as a full-time stand-up in 1990, working with such future comedic heavyweights such as Bill Hicks, Dave Attell, Brian Regan, and even a 17-year-old Dave Chappelle.
The book is chock full of photos, Travel Tales, mementos, and memories. Chip shares some of his Tales and recalls how travel opened his young mind to a whole new world.
