A solo surf trip to Nicaragua leads a comedian down some unexpected paths.
Comedian/producer Andy Wood keeps himself pretty busy in Hollywood, so he finally made the decision to get out of town.
The avid surfer booked a ticket to Nicaragua and was on the plane alone two weeks later, with only a vague plan of where to go.
The hurdles came almost immediately in the form of a rental car, which he promptly submerged underwater the first day.
Despite his invention of a Toyota/submarine hybrid, the trip quickly improved into a blissful two weeks of surfing, reading, lounging, and making new friends – some of the greatest reasons to travel.
