For many people in their 20’s, finding a place to call home is a fluid notion at best.
For Connecticut native Kristen Van Nest, she thought she had it figured out when she took a post-college job in New York City – a path taken by most of her friends.
After a few years of living what she thought was her dream, Kristen soon thought otherwise.
She began to look further down the road – much further. Months spent studying abroad in Luxembourg had given her the itch to spread her wings and live in another country and culture.
Unexpectedly, her search for a new home landed her in Shanghai, China- with no job and not knowing the language.
Getting her feet wet living on the other side of the world led to more experiences : a heightened passion for more travel, her love of writing, and even a bold foray into standup comedy.
Kristen now makes her home in Hollywood, acting and performing while promoting her new travel memoir, “Where To Nest- A Global Search for Love, Cheap Wine, and a Place To Belong.”
Hear her Tales of searching for love in all the wrong (and right) places.
Thanks, Kristen!
