Our first Birder!
Well, actually, Julie Fannon is not so much the Birder, but more like someone who makes the birding adventures happen.
Birders, i.e. people who love birds and go to great lengths to see them, are a unique subset of the travel community.
Julie’s company, Naturalist Journeys, is a boutique tour operator specializing in eco-tourism. Not only does she help make Birders dream trips come true, but she helps point the way to cruises, safaris, and guides for all travelers who have nature and wildlife as their focus.
I met Julie and her husband Matt on my recent trip to Baja California on Uncruise adventure cruises. And after nearly a week of sailing the Sea of Cortez, I learned what Julie does for a living – making her an ideal Travel Tales guest!
