Direct from San Sebastian, Spain- widely regarded as one of the world’s top food and wine destinations- comes chef/author Marti Buckley!
The Alabama native (by way of New Orleans) shed her Southern roots soon after college and headed north – North Spain that is.
Marti instantly took to European life, specifically the unique area along Spain’s northern coast known as Basque Region.
The Basque culture, history, and especially, food, captivated Marti enough that she planted roots there with her growing family.
Her love of the local cuisine inspired Marti to pen her first cookbook, “The Basque Country.”
Now working on a follow-up book while raising her second daughter, Marti took some time out to share Tales of her life in Spain, her inspirations, and give tips for those who plan to visit the Basque Region.
