Sometimes it takes a tragedy to make travel a priority.
In Arnette Stricker’s case, it was the sudden death of her husband that prompted a round-the-world trip to help the mourning process. Little did she know that the trip would lead to a new career as well.
Arnette kept a blog of her 19-month journey, and when she returned, the Round the World Girl website was born.
A Vancouver native who now makes her home outside San Diego, Arnette continues to travel for a healthy life/work balance.
